Analysts from security firm SEC Consult broke down firmware pictures for more than 4,000 models of inserted gadgets from more than 70 producers. In them they found more than 580 interesting private keys for SSH and HTTPS, a considerable lot of them shared between various gadgets from the same seller or even from distinctive ones. While relating those 580 keys with information from open Internet examines, they found that no less than 230 keys are effectively utilized by more than 4 million Internet-associated gadgets....

A few weeks after unveiling the international variant of MIUI 10, Xiaomi has released the first beta of the ROM for some of its compatible devices. The latest release of MIUI further improves system performance uses AI to bring features like portrait mode to its older devices with a single camera. Facebook Container, as it is called, does exactly what it says it does – it keeps the social network from being isolated from the rest of the browser, allowing it to be used even outside anonymous tabs. The platform, however, is prevented from accessing data such as web usage history, open pages and other resources that would be used for tracking and delivering advertisements. The DART spacecraft is targeting Dimorphos, a moon orbiting the near-Earth asteroid Didymos – an object that does NOT pose any threat to Earth. Once the spacecraft reaches its 530-foot (160 meters) diameter target, the goal is to change the asteroid’s speed and path. The spacecraft will carry a sophisticated guidance, navigation, and control system, called Small-body Maneuvering Autonomous Real Time Navigation (SMART Nav), which will enable it to identify and distinguish between the two asteroids, according to NASA....

The app is called “Memoji” and it has been developed by the same team (Lightricks) who’s responsible for the famous photo-editing tool, Facetune. Earlier this week, HTC officially confirmed which of its devices it plans on upgrading to Android 9.0 Pie, and now Motorola has done the same. Firefox 26 features the new home screen, which debuted in the beta app more than a month ago.
