At the beginning of this month, Android 4.2.2 and Sense 5 based custom ROMs started popping up for the HTC One, thanks to a leaked RUU. Today, another Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean based RUU has leaked for the One carrying the version number 2.19.401.1. The leaked RUU is not the final update that will be available to all One users. HTC is still working on the Android 4.2.2 firmware for the handset, and is taking its own sweet time....
In October of last year, Google officially unveiled the Nexus Player, the set-top box with Nexus branding and running Android TV. When it did, Google also tagged it with a $99 price tag, making it just another entry into the set-top box market with plenty of competition. Google generally keeps the prices for items within its online store the same from launch to end of life (consider the original G Watch, which was priced at $230 for an almost ridiculous amount of time), but it seems to be changing its views a little bit with the Nexus Player....
When it comes to imaging, the Note II in my pocket is pretty terrible. It’s worse that my old phone, the iPhone 4, and while at first this upset me, I’ve come to accept it and have simply stopped taking as many pictures. Shame, I know, but that might change later if I buy a Galaxy Note III this fall. According to the Dutch site SIM Only, not only will the third generation Note come with a 13 megapixel camera, likely the same one as found in the GS4, but it’ll also feature a Xenon flash and a dedicated shutter key....
The odd thing is, there is a timer function in the Clock app. You can manually set timers, you just can’t ask Now to do it for you. Android lice has heard from a source familiar with upcoming Search changes that this small issue will soon be rectified. You’ll ask for a timer, you’ll get a timer. After the conference, I spoke with Torvalds and he said, “I’d like to see the Rust infrastructure merging to be started in the next release, but we’ll see.” The next Linux release would be Linux 5.20. Torvalds and the other Linux kernel maintainers are currently working on Linux 5.19. The average time between new mainline kernel releases is 9 to 10 weeks. The loophole seems to be a SS7 flaw in the architecture of the signalling system which is devised to allow mobile phone roaming across telecom providers. SS7 signalling protocol was developed way back in 1975 and now in the current cellular setup it is used to perform transitional functions including, prepaid billing, SMS, local number portability among a host of other services. Flags were raised in 2014 when it was reported that a protocol vulnerability of the SS7 will allow non state actors to track the movement of cellphone users from any location across the world with a success rate of 70 percent....
