The total patch count for the August 2022 Patch Tuesday Update actually includes 20 flaws in Edge that Microsoft had previously released fixes for, leaving 121 flaws affecting Windows, Office, Azure, .NET Core, Visual Studio and Exchange Server. The Zero Day Initiative noted that the volume of fixes released this month is “markedly higher” than what is normally expected in an August release. “It’s almost triple the size of last year’s August release, and it’s the second largest release this year,” the bug hunting group said....

Initially, Viking Horde malware was discovered by the security team at Check Point and they reported to Google on May 5. This malware has been labelled as dangerous as it has the potential to attack non rooted as well as rooted android devices. Rooted devices are at high risk because this lets the malware to download additional components which makes it very difficult to remove. “On rooted devices, Viking Horde delivers additional malware payloads that can execute any code remotely,” the security firm stated....

A couple of weeks after Google released the Nexus 5 and Android 4.4 KitKat, the company has finally started rolling out the KitKat update for the Nexus 7 (2012/2013) and the Nexus 10.
