Motorola is going to start selling a new phone sometime around October called the Moto X. According to the specifications that have been leaking around on the internets, it’ll be a midrange device. You can almost say it’s a slightly better Nexus 4, actually.
Anyway, photos of the Moto X have been leaking longer than I’ve been alive, and today there’s a new photo that’s supposedly the first photo of the X fully assembled. As you can see, there’s not a lot here for anyone to judge the device. You really shouldn’t even judge the phone without first holding it any playing with the software. When is Motorola going to hold a press conference and spill the beans on everything there is to know about the Moto X? According to leaked Verizon Wireless document obtained by Phone Arena, America’s largest operator plans to start selling the Moto X on August 23rd. I don’t think that’s an accurate date; maybe for preorders, but not for actual shipping devices. Assuming the preorder date is legit, then an event in late August makes sense.
