Nvidia has started rolling out the first major software update for its in-house tablet – the Tegra Note 7. The update bumps the Android version on the device from 4.2.2 to 4.3, and also brings other major improvements to the cmaera and stylus department. The Tegra Note 7 did not receive positive reviews, mainly because of its underwhelming screen and software. While Nvidia cannot fix the sub-par screen now, it can definitely fix the latter. The company plans on rolling out regular software updates to the Note 7 to enhance its capabilities. With this update, Nvidia has greatly enhanced the camera and stylus capabilities of the Note 7. While the camera gets an always-on high dynamic range capability for more life-like pictures, the stylus software has been updated to add support for left-handed users and to improve the overall response time. The full change-log of the update from Nvidia is below -: As always, the update is being rolled out in phases so it might not be available instantly on your variant of the Note 7. In addition to these new features, Tegra NOTE 7′s camera gets always-on high-dynamic range (AOHDR) capability, which provides more lifelike images across a range of lighting conditions. AOHDR utilizes Tegra 4’s processing power and Chimera computational photography architecture. We’ve also added video stabilization for shake-free video, in addition to tuning and optimizations to improve camera performance under certain lighting conditions. From an OS perspective, Tegra Note 7 now sports the Android 4.3 Operating System. Finally, in addition to security and bug fixes, we’ve added the ability to transfer app and data files from internal memory to an external microSD card.
