In November, NVIDIA launched, or re-launched, the SHIELD tablet K1 with a lower price tag to entice new buyers. At the same time, the company also confirmed that while the tablet was launching with Android Lollipop on board, that would be changing with an incoming update to Android 6.0 Marshmallow coming at some point in the months following the device’s launch. It looks like NVIDIA was able to get everything squared away pretty quickly, though, as just one month after the tablet’s arrival the Android 6.0 update is landing. With Android 6.0 now on the K1 tablet, owners will get to use Google Now On Tap, a better list of app permissions, and adoptable storage, among many other features.
