The hackers group demanded 1 million in an auction to leak those hacking tools and files. However, early this year Shadow brokers announced their retirement because nobody had shown interest in buying those hacked tools. The Shadow Brokers have now decided to give away those hacking tools and files for free. In a lengthy blog post on Medium, the group had shared the password to unlock the encrypted folder of files that was sold in the auction. The Shadow Brokers claimed giving away those hacking tools for free is a protest against the United States President Donald Trump. The Shadow Brokers ask: Soon after the reveal, security researchers have started looking into the files. The tools mainly focus on Linux operating systems
