Earlier this month, Android 7.1.1 started making its way to more devices than the Google Pixel lineup. Unfortunately, any Nexus 6 owners out there have been left out in the cold, with no update to show for the wait. The reason why has now been revealed, along with a future release date for the software. Google has confirmed that they discovered a “last minute bug,” which required repairs before the software could be released to owners out in the wild. Google has confirmed that the update is now ready to go, with the bug fixed, and so the company plans to release the new software soon. For now, Google is only saying “early January” with no exact date to circle on the calendar just yet. If you own a Nexus 6, are you looking forward to the update?
