With the OnePlus 6 launch potentially less than a month away, the company has been slowly but steadily providing more information about the handset. After revealing some key specs of the device and teasing its design, OnePlus founder Pete Lau has shared some photos taken with the phone. Additionally, the company also posted a teaser hinting that the OnePlus 6 could be water-resistant.
The camera samples posted by Pete Lau look impressive with plenty of dynamic range and details. However, given that the photos were taken in daylight, its difficult to judge just how good (or bad) the OnePlus 6 camera is going to be. OnePlus has made steady improvements in the camera department with its handsets, and with the OnePlus 6, it is expected that it will finally rival the performance of the likes of Samsung Galaxy S9. The company also posted a teaser video on Twitter which hints at the device coming with an IP certification. The teaser indicates that the OnePlus 6 can be used while it is raining, so its possible that the handset might not be water-resistant but splashproof.
— OnePlus India (@OnePlus_IN) April 16, 2018 Whatever the case might be, a certain degree of water-resistance would be a welcome addition to the OnePlus 6. This would also help the handset better compete with other flagships in the market which sport an IP67/68 certification thereby making them dust and water-resistant. Are you looking forward to OnePlus unveiling the OnePlus 6? What are your expectations from the handset? Are you disappointed that it will come with a notch display?
