Motorola has just unveiled its latest flagship and the successor to the Moto X — the new Moto X. The handset builds on the strength of its predecessor by offering a more power, a bigger and better display and enhancing all of its unique features. The new Moto X internals are similar to any other high-end Android device released in the first half of 2014, and include a Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.5GHz and 2GB RAM. Motorola has also bumped the display size on the new X to 5.2-inches, which is a staggering jump from its predecessor’s 4.7-inch display. The new AMOLED panel sports full HD resolution and promises better color rendering and accuracy. The device will come with a metal frame for additional strength and rigidity. Motorola has also bumped the rear camera resolution to 13MP with an aperture of F/2.25, which is now also capable of recording videos in 4K resolution. http://youtu.be/uSAs0-ur6sc On the software side, Motorola has enhanced all the unique features found on the last year’s Moto X including Moto control and Moto Display (previously Active Display). With the new voice control system, you can ask the phone “What’s going on, Moto X?”, and even directly post status updates on Twitter, Facebook or message your friends on Whatsapp. This time around, Motorola is also allowing users to customize the wake up word according to their liking as well. Motorola will also be offering a plethora of customization options for the new Moto X including selecting the metal accents, wood and genuine leather backs and the ability to laser etch a signature on the back of the device. The handset will be running on a near stock build of Android 4.4.4 KitKat with only some useful apps and features pre-loaded from Motorola.
