The Moto X Style (which will sell in the U.S. as the Moto X re ition) Moto X ay will already have the fixes when they go on sale. Initial shipments of the third-generation Moto G won’t have the patch in “some regions,” but Motorola says they’ll get the update soon. Fortunately, Motorola said all its devices sold from 2013 on will get a fix for the vulnerability. Here’s the full list:

Updates should begin soon for Nexus devices, Samsung have joined ’s pledge for monthly security updates. ile Motorola didn’t make a similar commitment, it’s usually one of the better companies at delivering timely Android updates (2013 Moto X excluded). Motorola will sell the new Moto G X direct to consumers, so the carriers won’t be able to slow down any future software updates or security patches.
