To celebrate Mother’s Day, Motorola has discounted its 2015 flagship, the Moto X Pure Edition, by $100 in the United States, thereby effectively bringing down the price of the handset to $299.99. The 32GB and 64GB variants of the phone have also received a similar price cut.   Keep in mind that the Moto X Pure Edition is an unlocked and SIM-free phone, so you can pop in the SIM card of whatever network you are currently using without worrying about compatibility issues. If you do intend to purchase the Moto X Pure edition, you can also customise it via Moto Maker to your liking, though these customisations will cost you extra. You can also purchase the handset via Motorola Credit Account where you will end up paying $25 per month for it. The offer runs through May 9 so you still have plenty of time to decide on whether you want to pull the trigger on the phone or not. The Moto X Pure Edition does not pack a great camera or battery life like the Galaxy S7, but it does come with a gigantic 5.7-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED screen, a somewhat decent camera, and perhaps most importantly, it will always be among the very few Android devices to be updated to the latest version of Android within a month or two of its release.
