At some point in the (near) future, Motorola will likely launch a new mid-range smartphone under the Z-brand. We may have our first look at the upcoming smartphone, thanks to a new report from XDA-Developers. Most of the specs of the Moto Z3 Play have been revealed, too, just for good measure, long before Motorola gets around to officially announcing anything. That includes a 6-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, which will reportedly boast an 18:9 aspect ratio. Other key elements of the upcoming device include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor, 4GB of RAM, 32GB or 64GB of built-in storage, a microSD card slot, Android 8.1 Oreo, dual rear cameras, and a 3000mAh battery.

The Moto Z3 Play will keep up the Moto Mods support as well, with one major standout: A 5G Moto Mod. It will include an antenna piece that actually sticks up over the top edge of the phone. Of course, there’s not much of a 5G network in the United States just yet, or anywhere for that matter, so Motorola is obviously looking ahead. At some point in the future having a 5G Moto Mod might be worthwhile, especially for traveling.
