A leak from earlier this month hinted at the inclusion of leather back panels in Motorola’s Moto Maker customization tool, for the company’s upcoming Moto X successor. Today, @evleaks has revealed a list of back panel options for the Moto X+1, a list that includes all variants of wood and leather finishes.  According to the notorious leakster, consumers will be able to choose from 25 different options when customizing the back cover on their Moto X+1. The leather finishes will include black, red, grey and blue, while those looking for a wooden back will be able to select from Teak, Bamboo, Rosewood, and Ebony. Meanwhile, the standard (plastic) back plates are categorized into cool (Navy, Turquoise, Olive, Royal Blue, Dark Teal), neutral (Slate, Purple, Smoke, Black, Chalk), and warm (Red, Orange, Lemon Lime, Violet, Crimson, Raspberry, Cabernet) colors, rounding off the total number of options to 25. The ability to customize the back panels was one of the selling points of the Moto X, and with the addition of leather backs, it should be an even bigger attraction on the Moto X+1. The device is slated for a summer launch, and hopefully, we’ll see all the customization options made available from day one, instead of having to wait for months on end before being able to pick our favorite.
