Motorola today announced that it has started rolling out the Android 7.0 Nougat update for the Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus in India. This makes the Lenovo-owned company the first in the world to roll out the Nougat update to any of its smartphones.
Motorola has already posted the official release notes of the update over at their website detailing the changes introduced by the latest version of Android and the new additions made by the company. Some of the new features in Android 7.0 Nougat include a built-in Data Saver mode, multi-window multitasking, a redesigned notification panel, customisable quick settings, updated emoji, and more. Read: What’s new in Android 7.0 Nougat If you have not already received the OTA update notification on your Moto G4/Plus, head over to Settings -> About Phone -> System updates and tap Yes, I’m in to download the software update. Once downloaded, proceed to tap Install now to start the installation procedure. If the OTA update does not show up for you, try again after a few days since it is likely that Motorla is rolling out the updates in stages. The company also says that post the Nougat update for Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus in India, the company will start a worldwide rollout of the update for the handsets.
