The second generation Moto G is expected to be announced alongside the next-gen Moto X on September 4, and leading up to the official launch date we’re still bearing witness to plenty of leaks. A new batch of photos is giving us a pretty clear look at the rumored Moto G2, along with some colorful backplates. The images were surfaced by HelloMotoHK (which also brought us images of the Moto X+1 not too long ago), and showcase the device’s front, back, and a look at what the device will look like without a battery cover on the back. They aren’t necessarily the clearest images, but they are the best looks at the Moto G2 to date.

It looks like, along with the bigger display, we do get a sort of confirmation that Motorola will be going with replaceable back covers again, just like with the original Moto G. There’s still no word on just how many different kinds of colors, or even materials, Motorola might include with the Moto G at launch, unfortunately.

The source of the photos confirms previous reports regarding specifications, too, with a 5-inch 720p HD display, an 8-megapixel camera on the back, front-facing speakers, and a microSD card slot. Depending on pricing and specs, are you more interested in checking out the Moto X+1 or the Moto G2?
