Later this week, on the 13th to be exact, Motorola and Google are going to hold an event in São Paulo, Brazil to announce a new phone that’s called the Moto G. Everyone knows it’s going to be called the Moto G because Motorola accidentally made reference to it on their own website. It’s going to be a midrange phone that’s not as high end as the Moto X, but it should still be desirable. The device has recently appeared on the benchmarking website GFXBench, and there are a few tidbits of information to be gathered from the resulting benchmark.

Let’s start with the guts: Like the Moto X, the Moto G will have a 720p display. On the GPU side, you’re looking at an Adreno 305, which means you should expect to see a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400. The clock speed appears to be capped at 1.2 GHz, which is likely done to save battery. Moving on to the RAM, the rumors say the Moto G will have 1 GB of it. There’s no data to back that up, but it sounds credible to me. Finally, the Moto G is said to lack 4G LTE, which wouldn’t surprise me, especially given the fact that it’s being announced in Brazil and not the United States.
