Back in November, Motorola took everyone by surprise by releasing the Moto G. The handset packed in mid-range specs and near stock Android and was available for dirt cheap. The device has been flying off the shelves in nearly every market it is available for sale. Now, Motorola’s senior vice president of product management, Rick Osterloh, announced at its MWC press dinner that the Moto G has quickly become the most successful and highest-selling smartphone in the company’s history. Even though Motorola sells the Moto G at such a low price, it still manages to make a profit on every device sold — a fact that Rick confirmed once again today. He also mentioned that once Lenovo’s purchase is complete, Motorola should make even more profit. In the past, Motorola had come out with some excellent and iconic handsets including the Motorola Droid and Droid X. So, the Moto G becoming the company’s highest-selling smartphone in less than 5 months of its launch is no small feat. HTC, Nokia — Take note. This is how you bounce back. Via: Android Central
