Microsoft today released its own Hyperlapse app for Android that allows users to create “smooth, stabilized time lapses from first-person videos.”
Think of an hyperlapse video as a sped up footage of your skiing trip, an excursion or any other first-person video. However, since a mobile video involves a lot of shakes and jerks, Microsoft’s Hyperlapse will fix these things out to deliver a “speedy and smooth” video. The service is similar to Instagram’s Hyperlapse, which is only available for iOS devices. Microsoft’s Hyperlapse app, however, is available for selected Android devices as well as Windows Phone. https://youtu.be/twncW4PLdsY Additionally, the app is also able to create hyperlapse videos from already existing videos — something which Instagram’s Hyperlapse app is not capable of doing.
