Marvel has already announced 6 films and multiple TV shows at the D23 event, and in conclusion, Phase 5 contains 13 projects. So here are the details of all projects of Phase 5 that are coming in 2023.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania
Release Date: February 17, 2023
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will be the first movie of Marvel’s Phase 5 and the third movie of the Ant-Man series; this movie will continue from the events of Avengers: Endgame. And the villain of this movie is MODOK, which will be played by Corey Stoll, who played Yellowjacket in Ant-Man (2015). Besides, it is expected to arrive on Disney Plus after three months of its release.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3
Release Date: May 5, 2023
James Gunn directed Guardians of the Galaxy’s earlier two movies, and this trilogy will get completed under his contract of direction. However, we have already seen the movie’s first trailer, which showed an armed Groot, a young Rocket, and Adam Warlock’s first appearance in the MCU. Besides, there are two new cast members, Daniela Melchior and Nico Santos, but their character roles are not revealed yet.
The Marvels
Release Date: July 28, 2023
Nia DaCosta is going to be the director for The Marvels, which is also called a Captain Marvel sequel, and it will present the first appearance of the team of Marvel’s all-female superheroes. Talking about the villain of this movie so Velvet Buzzsaw is going to be the villain, will be played by Zawe Ashton, another character Parasite, will be played by Park Seo-Joon, and Samuel L. Jackson is also in the movie as Nick Fury.
What If…? Season 2
Release Date: Early 2023
What If will be the first Marvel Phase 5 TV Series, as season 1 was a superhit and ended with the demand for season 2 from fans. The show will be available to watch on Disney Plus in Q1 or 2. Currently, there are not many details about the show’s story continuation, but Brad Winderbaum (Marvel Executive) confirmed that the sequel would go more deeply into the story behind what makes Watcher tick. However, Elizabeth Olsen, who plays Scarlet Witch, will voice her animated character. And Marvel approved Hela’s actress to voice her character for a Thor: Ragnarok-set episode.
Loki Season 2
Release Date: Mid-2023
After a long wait of 2 years, Loki Season 2 is believed to be released in Q2 2023. Currently, there are not many details available about it, but Season 1’s head writer Micheal Waldron has already started working on it last year. The story will continue from the reveal of the main villain, Kang the Conqueror. Ironheart
Release Date: Late 2023
Dominique Throne, who made her made her first appearance in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever as Ironheart, will continue the role of Riri Williams in Ironheart. According to rumors, Black Panther’s director Ryan Coogler is also involved in this project, so we can expect it to be good. Currently, this TV series does not have any release date, but it is confirmed to arrive in Q4 2023, and it will be available on Disney Plus for subscription holders.
X-Men 97

For Magneto fans, it will be special because he will be the team leader in this show. X-Men 97 is a remake of the classic X-Men: The Animated Series, and it is a direct continuation of the old animated series.
