Just two weeks before Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, LG has gone ahead and announced the LG G Pro 2. The successor to the G Pro is filled to the brim with powerful internals and impressive features while sporting a massive 5.9-inch Full HD IPS screen. Internally, the G Pro 2 is powered by Snapdragon’s latest and greatest SoC — the S800, running at 2.26GHz. Other notable specs include an Adreno 320 GPU, 3GB of RAM, NFC, 3200mAh non-removable battery and 16 or 32GB of on-board storage accompanied by a microSD card slot. There is also a 13MP optically stabilised camera at the back, adorned by the Volume and Power keys just below it. The camera is capable of shooting 4k resolution videos as well as Full HD videos at 120FPS for some slow-mo goodness. The 2.1MP camera in the front should be good enough for all your video calling needs. The G Pro 2 also comes with a bunch of software goodies from LG pre-installed including a new version of Knock-On, dubbed as Knock Code. The feature will allow G Pro 2 users to power on and unlock their device by simply tapping in any of the 80,000+ combinations available. LG’s track record with software updates has been rather spotty but thankfully, the G Pro 2 will be running on Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box. The Korean company will reveal the pricing and release date of the handset at Mobile World Congress. LG G Pro 2 Press Release
